Register with this Practice

Who Can Register?

We currently accept registrations from:

  • Loughborough University students (including partners and children)

  • Loughborough University staff (including families)

  • Loughborough University partner staff (including families)

  • Residents of Woodthorpe Lodge and Charnwood Lodge care homes

Use this link to register. Many of our registrations are automated so you can get registered the same day although for people new to the country it can take a few working days.

***FAO New Students – When registering please put your university address that has an LE11 postcode as your current address to enable quicker registration to our practice****

If you move away from Loughborough (for placements or other reasons) but plan to return, you can remain registered with us while you’re away. If you are moving away permanently and want to stay registered due to ongoing care (like outstanding referrals, scans, shared care agreements) we will be happy to keep you registered if your care can be delivered safely, please speak to our team to discuss and we will review on a case by case basis.

Starting university is an exciting time, and looking after your health and wellbeing is vital. Registering with the Medical Centre on campus gives you access to a full range of NHS services designed to support you throughout your studies here in Loughborough.

  • Your current registered GP

Please note: If you do not register with the Medical Centre, you may not be able to access on-campus services and might be directed elsewhere.


How to Register

Thank you for choosing Campus View Medical Centre. Please complete the online registration form to apply.

Upon registration, you will be assigned a named accountable GP responsible for your care. Our current named GP is Dr Abbas. For more information, please see our Named Accountable GP leaflet.


Before You Arrive in Loughborough

  • Submit your registration form a few weeks before arrival to ensure timely access to NHS services.

  • If you take regular medication, bring at least  1 months’ supply from your current GP.

  • After submitting your online form, you will receive a confirmation text within 5 working days. If you don’t, please call us on 01509 277577.


After Registration and Arrival

Once registered, please contact us on 01509 277577 to book a consultation with a clinician to review your medications. Any regular medication will then be added to your health records.

Finding Your NHS Number

Your NHS number is a unique 10-digit number (e.g., 485 777 3456) found on any NHS correspondence.
You don’t need it to access NHS services, but having it can be helpful.

General Information

Confidentiality and Consent

As a Medical Centre, confidentiality is of utmost importance to us.

When you turn 18 years old, your parents will no longer be able to access your records or discuss any medical conditions with us without your written consent.

We also advise patients to book and cancel their own appointments to prevent any confidentiality issues and ensure you update your contact details with us throughout your time here.

Meningitis Vaccination for Freshers

Students aged between 17-24yrs and starting university are strongly recommended to have a booster Men ACWY vaccination (which has replaced the Meningitis C) if you didn’t receive one in school. This is because it is now known that your immunity to the disease will have decreased and your risk of catching the disease is higher.  When you are registered please telephone us on 01509 277577 and arrange an immunisation appointment.  Please follow the links below for further information:-
