Travel vaccinations

General Practice is not contracted to provide a full travel service and you may need to get some of your vaccines privately.

We therefore recommend our local Church pharmacy for a full service.

The practice is contracted to provide patients with the following FREE NHS vaccines in relation to travel.

• Hepatitis A (infectious Hepatitis)
• Combined Hepatitis A & B
• Typhoid
• Polio – given as a combined Td/PV vaccine.
• Cholera

The practice can also provide Men ACWY as an NHS vaccine if you are under the age of 25 years with an incomplete or unknown Men ACWY vaccination history.

The practice cannot give the following travel vaccines as an NHS service and you should obtain these from a private travel service.

• Yellow Fever
• Japanese Encephalitis
• Tick borne Encephalitis.
• Rabies.
• Hepatitis B
• Dengue
